Job summary

ScienTec Consulting Pte. Ltd. is seeking a DevOps professional to join our operations team in Singapore.

The role focuses on delivering reliable releases, maintaining CI/CD pipelines, and automating infrastructure and deployments to support scalable services. Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of DevOps, cloud and system administration experience, with strong scripting and familiarity with AWS/Azure/GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, and IaC tools like Terraform.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• 2-3 years of DevOps, cloud infrastructure or system administration experience.
• Experience delivering DevOps solutions on AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Nexus and Maven.
• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes for containerisation and orchestration.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
• Scripting experience: Bash, PowerShell, Python, Ruby, JavaScript or Groovy.
• Familiarity with APM, logging and observability tools.
• Hands-on work with Vault, Grafana, Prometheus, Keycloak or ELK stack.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Development, Product and Operations to deliver releases and plan maintenance.
• Perform daily system monitoring, backups, deployments and maintenance for availability and reliability.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with automated testing for high-quality releases.
• Develop scripts for service monitoring and health checks.
• Provision and manage scalable infrastructure using automation, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Automate security hardening across testing, deployment and production environments.
• Prepare and maintain operational guides and troubleshooting procedures; provide training to stakeholders.
• Promote DevOps practices and continuously improve release processes from development to production.
• Evaluate new tools and technologies to improve performance, reliability and efficiency.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Head of Department.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Development, Product and Operations teams to deliver releases, plan system maintenance and resolve build and deployment issues.
• Perform daily system monitoring, backups, deployments and maintenance to ensure availability and reliability.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, integrating automated testing to support consistent, high-quality software releases.
• Develop scripts for service monitoring, system health checks and routine operational tasks.
• Provision and manage scalable infrastructure using automation, containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Automate security hardening across testing, deployment and production environments in line with industry best practices.
• Prepare and maintain operational guides, troubleshooting procedures and system documentation, and provide training to internal and external stakeholders.
• Promote DevOps practices and continuously improve the release process from development through to production.
• Evaluate new tools and technologies to improve system performance, reliability and operational efficiency.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Head of Department.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, with 2-3 years of relevant experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure or system administration.
• Experience delivering DevOps solutions on AWS, Azure or GCP. Relevant AWS services include EC2, RDS, ELB, EFS, ElastiCache, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS and MSK.
• Experience building reliable CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Nexus and Maven.
• Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes for containerisation and orchestration.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools such as Terraform
• Working experience with scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, Python, Ruby, JavaScript or Groovy.
• Familiarity with application performance monitoring (APM), logging and observability tools.
• Hands‑on experience with one or more of the following: Vault, Grafana, Prometheus, Keycloak or the ELK stack.
• Ability to produce clear technical documentation, including system designs, user guides and troubleshooting procedures.
• Strong collaboration skills, initiative and a willingness to learn new technologies.
