Job summary

Vertis Digital Pte. Ltd. seeks a seasoned DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructures on AWS and Azure, with focus on CI/CD, security, and scalable environments. You will automate deployments, manage configurations, and support migrations across staging to production.

The role requires strong IaC skills, container orchestration, and scripting proficiency, with exposure to monitoring and security tooling. A collaborative, security‑mensitive mindset is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with both AWS and Azure cloud platforms (optionally Google Cloud Platform).
  • Ability to independently start a greenfield project and build cloud infrastructure without supervision.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Bitbucket Pipelines).
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates).
  • Experience with monitoring and security tools (CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Datadog, New Relic and Application Insights).
  • Scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python) for automation.

About the job

The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructures on AWS and Azure platforms. The role focuses on CI/CD pipeline development, cloud security, and managing scalable, efficient cloud environments to support development and production operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Basic understanding of cloud networking, virtual private clouds, firewalls, API/Application gateways.
  • Design and implement scalable infrastructure on AWS and Azure.
  • Manage and optimize cloud resources for performance, security, and cost-efficiency.
  • Automate cloud deployments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Azure ARM templates.
  • Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab CI/CD.
  • Implement Docker and Kubernetes (EKS/AKS) for containerization and orchestration.
  • Enable seamless deployments across staging, testing, and production environments.
  • Write build scripts for Node.JS, .NET and/or Java apps.
  • Manage configurations and secrets across environments.
  • Understanding of GitFlow and general development workflows.
  • Support development teams with deployments and operations.
  • Lead cloud migration projects from on-premise to AWS/Azure, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime.
  • Apply security best practices for IAM roles, data encryption, and network security.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and implement remediation plans.
  • Setup and configure SIEM, WAF and DDoS protection solutions.
  • Set up monitoring and alerting using CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, or Datadog.
  • Manage incident response and disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
  • Regularly perform cost analysis and recommend optimization strategies.
Requirement and Qualification
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
