Work you will do

Deloitte’s Engineering offers help to enable organization’s end-to-end journey from on-premise legacy systems to the cloud, from design through deployment, and leading to the ultimate destination—a transformed organization primed for growth. You will provide high level design and technical solutions for the Data Engineering team, working on multiple tasks effectively and delivering data model design, analytics-focused data warehousing, and data integration/management leveraging cloud and other technologies to add advanced capabilities and improve application efficiency.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent.
• At least 3 to 5 years working experience as a Data Engineer; adept experience in data engineering principles and how to apply advanced data manipulation processes to various types of data.
• Good understanding of key data warehousing fundamentals including modelling techniques like dimensional model creation.
• Knowledgeable in data engineering practices and ETL.
• The ability to develop complex data transformation routines using leading cloud data manipulation languages like Python or Scala (Preferably Python).
• Proficient in SQL for query, triage, and remediation (Advanced).
• Skilled in Database/Query performance tuning and optimization.
• Knowledgeable in Apache Airflow.
• Ability to support BAU activities.
• Knowledgeable in CI/CD and change management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills to be able to communicate to stakeholders/business users clearly and effectively.
• Can work independently with minimal supervision.
• Can drive the project from requirements gathering up to prod go-live/support.

To be successful in this role, you should have the following key experience and capabilities:

• Strong Data engineering skills with demonstrated experience in data transformation languages SQL, Python or Pyspark etc. Alternatively very strong skills in a data transformation tool like Informatica, Oracle ODI, Azure ADF, AWS Glue etc.
• Experience with some cloud engineering skills by demonstrated experience with development of Infrastructure as code and deploying platform (AWS, Azure or Google) services into cloud architecture.
