Cloud & AI Security Architect (SVP/Director)

We are looking for a forward-thinking Cloud & AI Security Architect to design and implement robust security solutions across our cloud and artificial intelligence environments. You will play a pivotal role in defining the strategy, frameworks, and controls that secure our cloud infrastructure and AI systems, ensuring regulatory compliance, resilience, and risk mitigation across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud & Infrastructure Security

• Architect and implement secure, scalable cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) aligned with best practices and compliance frameworks.
• Define and maintain security architecture patterns, cloud security controls, and threat detection capabilities.
• Integrate security tools and practices into DevSecOps pipelines (SAST, DAST, container scanning, IaC scanning, SBOM).
• Lead vulnerability management programs, including patching, continuous monitoring, and compliance automation.
• Conduct security assessments and guide secure implementations for new technologies including Kubernetes, serverless, containers, and data lakes.

AI Security & Risk Management

• Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive risk management programs for AI security, ensuring alignment with the firm's overall risk appetite and regulatory requirements.
• Lead risk assessments, audits, and vulnerability testing on AI models and platforms to identify risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Prepare regular risk and control reports for senior management, highlighting key issues, control gaps, and audit findings specific to AI systems.
• Monitor and report on the effectiveness of technology and AI security controls, identifying weaknesses and recommending improvements to enhance model resilience and trustworthiness.

Governance & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, PCI-DSS, and AI-relevant regulatory guidelines.
• Participate in internal and external audits and inspections, addressing control design and effectiveness.
• Stay ahead of emerging AI and cloud threats, evolving regulations, and new technologies to advise leadership and enhance risk posture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity or risk, with 3+ years in cloud and/or AI security architecture roles.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), DevSecOps practices, and threat modeling.
• Deep understanding of AI/ML model architecture, security risks (e.g., adversarial attacks, model leakage), and responsible AI principles.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks around AI and cloud (e.g., EU AI Act, MAS TRM, NIST AI RMF).
• Certifications such as CCSP, CISSP, AWS Security Specialty, or AI-focused certifications are a strong plus.
• Strong communication skills, able to interface with developers, security teams, auditors, and senior stakeholders.
