Clinical visual electrophysiology has become an essential tool for the diagnosis and management of visual loss. The visual electrophysiology service in NUH was established since 2018 and has since been established as an integral part of our tertiary niche services, such as neuro-ophthalmology, and Inherited Retinal Diseases (IRD) in Singapore.

The key purpose of the position is:

  • To help the NUH Department of Ophthalmology maintain and expand an established ERG (Electrophysiology) service that is in keeping with international standards, that supports national needs within and outside NUHS.
  • To ensure quality testing services and timely and accurate reporting of the required testing modalities.
  • To ensure continuity of service, through training of a team of Ophthalmologists and Optometrists in NUH that can bring ERG services to a new height.
  • To contribute to the teaching and research outcomes of the department when necessary.
