Primary Function

Promote and sell Abbott Vascular (AV) products to established customers (physicians, Cath labs, hospitals, etc.) and develop new customers. Responsible for achieving product sales, market share, and profit objectives in a specified territory or for specific products. Promote and establish physician and account education on the company's products and/or services. Be proficient in operating designated equipment and supporting procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab. Work with the Sales Manager to set targets for individual accounts and/or products and monitor progress monthly.

Develop in-depth experience in the Endovascular intervention industry with good product and technical medical knowledge. Keep abreast of market & competitors’ activities and gather weekly/monthly report information. Track HCP usage patterns, gather HCP feedback, and market intelligence. Support inventory management, including product movement when required to support customers.

Major Responsibilities
  • Ensure achievement of individual sales targets.
  • Conduct regular sales calls to healthcare professionals (HCPs) to promote assigned products.
  • Provide HCPs with detailed product information, technical specifications, and latest clinical data.
  • Maintain close professional relationships with Key Accounts and HCPs.
  • Develop and implement effective sales plans and messages to promote and increase market share.
  • Plan and review sales strategies and promotion activities such as teaching programs and presentations.
  • Provide timely reports including customer details, usage tracking, sales & market share %, HCP feedback, and market & competitive information.
  • Keep updated on market & competitors’ activities and latest clinical data.
  • Assist HCPs in product presentations when required.
  • Manage inventory & consignment levels to ensure optimal stock and prevent expiry.
  • Monitor product usage, follow up until billing, and handle documentation for billing and stock returns.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and collaborate with Customer Service for product reconciliation.
  • Undertake additional tasks as required from the manager.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Nursing, or related disciplines.
  • 2+ years of sales experience in a hospital environment, preferably with cardiology products or medical devices.
  • Healthcare background such as nursing, cardiac tech, or pharmacist with a strong sales aptitude is welcomed.
  • Good product knowledge and ability to grasp technical information.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including data systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to develop a territory business plan and strong numerical skills.
  • Agile, adaptable, with strong teamwork and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Willing to support after-hours, standby, and hospital operating theatre environments as needed.
