Job summary

The National Heart Centre Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a Research Coordinator to assist Principal Investigators in planning and coordinating clinical research projects. You will screen and recruit participants, report events, enter data, collect and process biological samples, maintain site files and follow up with participants.

You will also conduct phone interviews or questionnaires, ensure adherence to Good Clinical Practice, and support the department with general administrative duties.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science or Nursing or equivalent.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Proficient in English and business writing.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable interacting with patients.
• Meticulous, a good team player, independent and self-motivated.
• Vaccination proof for Measles and Tdap (within last 10 years).

Job description

You will assist the Principal Investigator(s) to implement and coordinate research projects. Research project activities included screening, recruitment, events reporting, data entry, biological specimens collection and processing, maintaining of sites files, and research participants’ follow up. You will conduct phone interviews or questionnaires with the research participants. You are required to adhere to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guideline, protocol and regulatory compliance. You will also be supporting the department with general administration. The selected candidate will be offered employment on 1-year to 2-year renewable contractual terms.

Requirements:

• Degree in Science or Degree/Diploma in Nursing or its equivalent. Prior clinical research experience is not a prerequisite, though it will be an added advantage
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Proficient in English and business writing
• Good interpersonal and communication skills; and comfortable in interacting with patients
• Meticulous, a good team player, independent and self-motivated
• Documented proof of:

(i) Measles (or MMR - Mumps, Measles and Rubella) vaccination or serological evidence of measles immunity; and

(ii) Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis) vaccination received within the last 10 years, as required for all healthcare workers under the Healthcare Services Act.
