The Other Clinic is a team-based practice with a strong work ethic and emphasis on community and training.

Job Description

  • To therapeutically work with children, adolescents, adults and their families
  • Assess and formulate individualised therapy plans
  • Providing individual and family interventions using evidence-based practice
  • Parenting interventions
  • Assessment, treatment of people with eating disorders using evidence-based interventions e.g. CBT-E or Family Based Therapy for ED.
  • Working with Body image or Dysphoria
  • Ability to work face-to-face and online
  • Report writing where necessary
  • Liaising with other professionals e.g. psychiatrists, paediatricians, doctors, dieticians.
  • Providing talks, workshops and training
  • Working with corporate clients e.g. schools
  • Supervision of trainees on placement desirable but not essential
  • Some general adult and teen work is also a requirement to balance caseload.

Competencies Required

  • Masters/Doctorate in Clinical Psychology
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience of a variety of treatment modes
  • Specialist Additional therapeutic training in model e.g. CBT -E, FBT
  • Experience working with parenting
  • Previous experience working in private setting with local population and expats is desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player
  • Additional experience training and confidence in working with self-harm, violence or suicidality is desirable.
  • Experience of working with complex cases risk, self-harm, suicidality, OCD, emerging personality disorders
  • Eligible for registration with SPS.
  • Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team e.g. shared cases
  • Experience of diagnostic assessments
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, occasional home visit where necessary
  • Experience of implementing structured change models
  • Committed to attending regular supervision
  • Ability to work with autonomy and be a team player
  • Flexible working in a fast-paced environment that is growing
  • IT skills in Office Applications such as Word, Excel, use of Apps
