Job summary

Eastern General Hospital is seeking a dedicated Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team in Singapore. You will perform routine analyses across Biochemistry, Haematology, or Blood Bank, ensuring timely and accurate results while maintaining equipment and stock levels.

The role requires a recognised degree in Biomedical Science, Biological Science, or Medical Technology, with the ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Recognised degree in Biomedical Science, Biological Science, Medical Technology or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• May be required to work on rotating shifts.
• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine laboratory analysis on biological specimens using a wide range of specialized equipment according to SOPs in Biochemistry, Haematology, or Blood Bank.
• Ensure accurate laboratory test results are reported within turnaround time.
• Perform function checks and equipment maintenance.
• Monitor inventory and supplies for smooth daily operations.
• Participate in quality assurance and management activities according to established policies.
• Work closely with laboratory supervisors to ensure compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.
