Job summary

Eurofins Clinical Diagnostics is seeking a meticulous Laboratory Technician to handle clinical specimens and register them into the Laboratory Information System. The role requires understanding clinical terminology and following specimen management procedures while maintaining timeliness and accuracy.

You will be expected to work independently and as part of a team, possess strong laboratory, organisational and administrative skills, and be service- and customer-oriented.

Qualifications

• GCE 'N' / 'O' Level, NiTEC in Biomedical Science.
• Ideal candidate has at least 1 year experience.
• Able to work independently as well as a team.
• Good laboratory, organisational and administrative skills.
• Computer literacy.
• Service and customer oriented.
• Relevant work experience in a hospital laboratory is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Meticulous handling of clinical specimens.
• Register specimens accurately into the Laboratory Information System.
• Understand clinical and test terminologies.
• Follow specimen management procedures, including centrifugation, storage, retrieval and disposal.
• Possess good time-management skills.
• May rotate to other lab locations or shifts, as necessary.
• Attend to incoming calls and general enquiries from clients professionally.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by extending responsive and meticulous support.
• Attend to clients queries and problems diligently and timely.
• Observe PDPA guidelines and chain of custody of specimens.
