You are responsible for translating patients’ medical diagnoses, operations and procedures into international classification alphanumeric codes. The standardised classification and grouping of healthcare data, which reflects the complete clinical picture of the patients, not only contributes to hospital operational and subvention forecasts but also allows clinicians to better plan the care of future patients with similar conditions. You are required to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of coding.

You will also be involved in the audit of medical records where you will check on the accuracy of the codes assigned. You will also work closely with clinicians to address coding issues.

Job Requirements:

  1. Fresh Diploma in Nursing / Life Science / Applied Science. Those with a minimum of 2 years’ relevant work experience would be preferred though not essential.
  2. Holders of Foreign Medical Degree or Degree in Nursing / Health Sciences will also be considered.
  3. Knowledge of healthcare procedures is essential.
  4. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  5. Meticulous with good communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Able to work independently as well as in a team.
