Job summary

KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a Medical Officer to provide high‑level medical care under specialists. You will be responsible for the total management of patients, guided by specialists, and you will supervise House Officers.

You will also write medical reports, explain procedures to patients and relatives, and participate in teaching activities. On‑call duties and coverage are possible as needed by the department.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent basic medical degree
• Registered with Singapore Medical Council

Responsibilities

• Perform at the same level of duties (including calls) and responsibilities of a Medical Officer.
• Be responsible for the total management of patients under the charge of the specialists, with whom he/she is assigned to work and whom he/she will be supervised
• Assist, guide and supervise the House Officers in their duties
• Write medical reports
• Explain procedures to patients and their relatives
• Inform the Senior medical staff of any major problems against medical advice
• Participate in teaching activities
• Perform any other medical duties as directed by Senior medical staff in the department
• Cover duties when the need arises

Education
