Roles and Responsibilities
We are looking for a dependable and friendly Clinic Nurse to manage the day-to-day operation of a family medicine clinic. The ideal candidate is personable, organised, and takes pride in delivering professional care.
Job description
- Perform frontline service such as greeting and registering patients, handling patients’ enquiries, attending to phone enquiries and scheduling patients’ appointments.
- Prepare drugs and dispensing of medicines after checks by the doctor.
- Educate patients on medication and procedures.
- Assist the doctor during patient consultations (including as chaperone for female patients) and minor procedures.
- Provide nursing care to patients (blood taking, dressing, ECG, etc).
- Perform administrative duties such as handling billing transactions, payment, insurance claim submissions and ensure proper documentation and filing.
- Manage clinic inventory and replenishing of medicines and consumable items, working with the doctor.
- Support overall clinic operations such as opening, closing, and vendor coordinating.
- Maintaining basic hygiene and cleanliness of the clinic facility.
- Attend to other duties as assigned by the doctor.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma in Nursing and registered under the SNB.
- Strong communication skills with a caring and patient-focused attitude.
- Willingness to learn new skills.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin (to communicate with Mandarin-speaking patients).
- Able to multitask and work independently in a small team.
- Hours of work: 32-40 hours/week (to be discussed).
Preferred skills
- BCLS certified.
- Prior experience in customer service or in healthcare.
- Familiar with clinic management software such as Plato Medical.
Remuneration and benefits
- Salary: $2,500 - $3,000 per month (commensurate with skills and working hours).
