Job summary

Orient Futures International (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. invites graduates to join a fast-paced trading desk handling futures, options, and other derivatives.

You will support professional clients with execution across global markets and work closely with risk and operations to ensure regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate has 1–5 years of relevant experience, strong customer service skills, and proficiency in English and Mandarin.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Banking, Finance, Economics, or related fields; CMFAS modules optional.
• Fresh grads welcome.
• 1–5 years of futures and options trading/dealing experience preferred.
• Experience with front-end trading systems for professional clients and institutions is a plus.
• Strong customer service and client relationship management skills.
• Excellent English and Mandarin communication skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt execution and dealing services across equities, futures, commodities, options, FX, OTC, ETD, and CFDs.
• Educate clients on proprietary platforms and trading systems to support self-service operations.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and escalation practices with the desk and risk team.
• Resolve client inquiries across multiple channels and ensure professional communication.
• Support margin controls and coordinate with Risk on regulatory requirements.
• Rotate between Tokyo, London, and New York trading hours as needed.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Ensure prompt and best execution/dealing services in accordance with local regulations, FIM, policy and procedures across all active global markets.
• Provide execution services for equities, futures, commodities, options, leveraged FX, OTC, ETD and CFD offerings.
• Clear understanding of all rules and regulations pertaining to market offerings through the desk.
• Deliver excellent communication in a professional manner to clients across all the desk related services.
• Multi-task, prioritize and manage all client correspondences and requests across a variety of communication channels.
• Familiarize and educate clients on all our existing proprietary platforms including trading systems and administrative portals, aligning with our self-service and highly automated business model.
• Execute margin control and margin calls jointly with the Risk team to ensure all regulatory responsibilities are met.
• As a business unit, acting in compliance and integrity as a first line of defense for all issues. Proper assessment and escalation of issues to senior management as and when required.
• Ownership of issues, proper handover from shift to shift, and handling of all outstanding item.
• Willing to learn and understand more of the business workflow beyond scope to better control and manage all communications coming into the desk and delegation out if necessary.
• Monitor execution flows and constantly seek improvements in the daily workflow to reduce the cost and increase efficiency.
• Generate ideas and assume responsibility for new projects to pursue systematic and automated processes with improved speed, cost and reliability in mind.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Banking / Finance, Economics, Actuarial Sciences, Business or Related Fields. (Preferably with the relevant CMFAS modules). Non-related disciplines are welcomed as well.
• Fresh Grads are welcomed.
• Preferably 1 to 5 years of Futures and Options trading/dealing experience.
• Experience with front end trading systems for professional clients and institutions preferred.
• Strong Customer Service and Client Relationship Management Skillsets
• Strong Interpersonal Communication and analytical skills
• Independent, self-motivated, results driven, with high level of integrity and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing and able to rotate between Tokyo, London and New York trading hours whenever necessary.
• Experience and good knowledge in derivatives products such as FX, futures and options preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Mandarin is preferred
