Job description

Client Service Specialist - Commercial Lines

As a Client Service Specialist at Relation Insurance, you will be responsible for carrying out all administrative tasks related to account management and policy servicing. Your primary duties will include processing policy endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and ensuring accurate maintenance of account records. Your role will play a crucial part in delivering timely and precise client requests, policy updates, and back-end service work to enhance the overall client experience and meet internal compliance standards.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve various tasks such as ordering renewal policies, verifying them against proposals, and processing them in the Agency Management System. You will handle endorsements by entering them on company websites, following up on endorsements not received from carriers, checking for accuracy, billing endorsements, and sending them to clients. Additionally, you will be responsible for following up on new business submissions with carriers not managed by Risk Placement Specialists, entering and rating policies in carrier websites, and ordering new policies as required.

Furthermore, you will issue standard certificates of insurance and other forms for holders, verify audit accuracy, review with agency staff, bill audits, and send audit review letters to clients. Other tasks will include ordering motor vehicle reports (MVRs) and loss runs as directed, reviewing and processing mail, and acting as a backup for office phone calls and walk-in traffic as needed. You may also be assigned other projects, duties, and tasks as required.

To excel in this role, you will need to possess a Property and Casualty License from the state of domicile (may be required within 90 days of hire), an Associate in Insurance (AINS) and/or Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) Designation is preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and being bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred depending on the location. Previous experience in customer service, knowledge of insurance markets, products, services, insurance ratings, and underwriting procedures, as well as familiarity with commercial lines of coverage, will be advantageous.

Strong computer skills including proficiency in using computers and Microsoft Office Suite are essential. You must have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to maintain effective relationships with clients, co-workers, carriers, vendors, and others. The ability to work independently with limited supervision, in a team environment, under tight time constraints, prioritize effectively, and handle multiple tasks in a demanding work setting are key attributes for success in this role.

Joining Relation Insurance offers you a safe and healthy work environment through our robust benefit program that includes family health and wellness programs, 401K, employee assistance programs, paid time off, paid holidays, and more. You will have opportunities for career advancement and development within the organization.

Please note that the wage range for this role is indicative of various factors considered in compensation decisions such as skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and organizational needs. Compensation decisions are made based on individual circumstances. Additionally, you may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program based on individual and organizational performance factors.
