Client Onboarding Director

Our Client is looking for a Client Onboarding Director.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting management and the Head of AML and Head of Compliance Singapore in their main duty to adhere to all pertinent AML/S/CFT/ABC policies and procedures, from both group guidance and local regulatory viewpoints, to guarantee that the local office maintains a robust control framework with continuous review/testing programs established.
• Mainly accountable for KYC and client onboarding, in addition to providing training on this subject.
• Lead the Asia Tax Compliance Committee, overseeing tax issues for the branch.
• Recognize and correct control deficiencies by continuously reviewing/monitoring the AML/S/CFT control framework from both group and local regulatory viewpoints.
• Perform all essential routine evaluations and monitoring on the Compliance and AML/CFT controls framework, which includes but is not limited to client acceptance, periodic evaluation processes, transaction oversight, payment filtering and client screening clearance, timely filing of STRs and maintenance of registers, business activities/processes, enterprise-wide risk assessment, reviews of high-risk transactions, etc.
• Create working documents and draft monitoring reports for evaluation; track and oversee the resolution of issues.
• Aid in the development and submission of compliance/regulatory reports for management, regulators, auditors, and others.
• Provide training on AML/CFT and/or FATCA/CRS, stay informed on the implementation of new or revised regulations, and inform bank staff accordingly.
• Help in the creation of resources for Compliance training.
• Support audits, inspections, and investigations as needed.
• Support the Head of AML and the Head of Compliance in Singapore, along with the Compliance team, in various work-related tasks such as Monitoring & Surveillance or General Advice.

Requirements:

• Holds a Bachelor Degree in any field
• 8+ years of strong experience in FATCA/CRS/FCC within a Private banking setup
• Strong communication, writing skills and interpersonal skills
