About the role
As a Client Account Manager - Marine at PacMaK DB Naval Charterers & Consultants (Pte.) Ltd., you will be responsible for managing and developing key client relationships within the marine industry. This is a full-time role based in the Central Region. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions to help them achieve their objectives.
What you'll be doing
- Manage a portfolio of key client accounts in the marine industry. Pursue sales leads, visiting existing and new customers to meet sales target levels.
- Communicate effectively with our customers. Respond to urgent inquiries & handle complaints.
- Increase sales revenue for the business in Singapore and in PacMaK DB branch offices in Colombia, Dubai, Greece, India, and USA.
- Coordinate with our principals and customers to complete sales.
- Serve as the point-of-contact for customers, both office and vessel crew and site.
- Coordinate with customers for last-minute requests, handle urgent inquiries, and address complaints.
- Develop and implement sales tactics with management approval.
- Assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products and services.
- Follow up actively on all quotations.
- Receive and entertain customers during visits to the local office.
- Accept, execute, and deliver other projects or duties as assigned by management.
What we're looking for
- Degree or Diploma in Marine-related discipline or technical qualifications.
- 5+ years of experience in sales / client account management, preferably in the marine industry.
- Strong understanding of the marine industry, including key drivers and challenges faced by clients.
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients at all levels.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful account management strategies.
- Mandarin speaking/writing skills are an advantage.
- Ability to think strategically, identify opportunities, and provide tailored solutions.
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
