Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and dusting in designated areas.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors and floors.
• Empty and replace waste bins throughout the facility.
• Clean windows, doors and glass surfaces to keep them spotless.
• Use cleaning equipment safely and efficiently, including floor buffers if applicable.
• Restock cleaning supplies and report stock shortages.
• Follow health and safety protocols for a safe working environment.
• Report maintenance issues or damages to facilities management.

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Cleaning Staff member to join MECADO TRADING PTE LTD. This full-time position is responsible for maintaining clean, hygienic and well-organised premises, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for employees and visitors.

What you’ll be doing

1. Performing general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and dusting of all designated areas
2. Cleaning and sanitising restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors and floors to maintain hygiene standards
3. Emptying and replacing waste bins throughout the facility
4. Cleaning windows, doors and glass surfaces to ensure they remain spotless
5. Using cleaning equipment and machinery safely and efficiently, including floor buffers and pressure washers where applicable
6. Restocking cleaning supplies and reporting when supplies are running low
7. Following all health and safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
8. Responding promptly to cleaning requests and addressing spillages or issues as they arise
9. Maintaining a professional and courteous manner whilst representing the company
10. Reporting any maintenance issues or damage to facilities to management

What we’re looking for

1. Proven experience working in a cleaning or custodial role, ideally within a commercial or facilities management environment
2. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
4. Ability to perform manual cleaning tasks, including lifting and carrying cleaning equipment where required.
5. Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to maintain consistent work quality
6. Good communication skills and a professional attitude towards colleagues and clients
7. Knowledge of cleaning products, techniques and safety practices
8. Flexibility to work shifts as required by the business
9. Candidates must have the legal right to work in Singapore.
