Job summary

Chatsworth International School in Singapore is seeking a dedicated Cleaner to maintain a clean and safe learning environment across classrooms and facilities. The role involves cleaning duties, stocking supplies, and coordinating with supervisors to ensure smooth daily operations.

The successful candidate will work in teams or independently, have good time management and knowledge of health and safety procedures. Working hours are 7:30 am to 5:00 pm or 8:30 am to 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitise toilets and Nurse Room.
• Arrange furniture to support classroom activities.

• Ensure chemicals are securely stored.
• Maintain storage areas for cleaning materials.
• Inform Supervisor of low stock levels and defects.

Job Description

• Clean, wash, sweep, mop, dust and vacuum assigned school facilities (e.g. classrooms, offices, multipurpose halls, carpets, windows, walls, furniture, sinks, drinking fountains, etc.) to maintain a sanitary, safe and attractive environment.
• Clean and sanitise toilet facilities and Nurse Room.
• Arrange tables, chairs, desks, etc. to provide adequate preparation for the classroom activities and events.
• Empty and clean garbage bins, remove trash, etc. to allocated disposal points.
• Respond to immediate safety and / or operational concerns for the purpose of taking appropriate action to resolve immediate safety.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Ensure that all chemicals are securely stored away when not in use.
• Clean and tidy cleaning materials and equipment storage areas in a clean and tidy condition.
• Ensure Supervisor is aware of low stock levels of supplies and equipment (eg cleaning solutions, toiletries, mops, trash bags, etc.).
• Inform the Supervisor of any defects found in the areas that the Cleaner is assigned to.
