Job Title: Cleaner (Full-Time)
Location: MapleBear Serangoon Gardens (12 Phillips Ave, Singapore 546934)
Employment Type: Full-time
Working Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Cleaner to help maintain the highest standards of hygiene and care across our preschool.

Key Responsibilities

General Cleaning & Hygiene

• Clean and disinfect all areas of the centre including classrooms, activity zones, toilets, dining areas, pantry, and common spaces
• Clear and properly dispose of rubbish from classrooms, bins, and kitchen areas
Provide immediate cleaning support in situations where children soil themselves, in a calm and respectful manner

️ Kitchen & Meal Support

• Wash dishes and sanitise all kitchenware and eating utensils after meals
• Maintain cleanliness of the pantry and kitchen workspace
• Assist the cook or kitchen staff with basic tasks as needed (e.g., food prep, serving)
Prepare simple meals (e.g., toast, porridge, cut fruit) when required during staff absences

Supplies & Stock Management

• Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and restock when necessary
• Inform supervisor of low stock or equipment in need of maintenance

Health, Safety & Teamwork

• Follow strict hygiene and safety protocols in accordance with ECDA and NEA guidelines
• Ensure that all cleaning and food safety standards are consistently upheld
• Work closely with the teaching and support team to ensure a smooth daily routine for the children
• Support special events (e.g. cleaning before/after birthday celebrations, festive activities)

Requirements

Previous cleaning experience (preferably in childcare, school, healthcare or F&B settings)
Physically fit and comfortable handling cleaning equipment and repetitive tasks
Trustworthy, punctual, and able to work independently
Positive attitude and respectful when interacting with children and staff
Basic food hygiene certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain)
Willingness to assist with simple kitchen tasks and light meal preparation
