Overview
We are seeking a passionate Classroom (SEN) Teacher (ICT and PE) to join our team and inspire students through technology, movement, and holistic development.
Responsibilities
ICT
- Plan, deliver, and adapt engaging ICT lessons incorporating AI, tailored to students with diverse learning profiles, including those with mild to moderate special education needs (SEN).
- Integrate AI tools and technologies responsibly into teaching practices to enhance accessibility, engagement, and learning outcomes.
- Support students in building essential digital literacy skills, responsible technology use, and age-appropriate understanding of AI concepts.
PE
- Design and deliver inclusive PE lessons that promote health, physical development, coordination, and teamwork.
- Adapt physical activities to meet the diverse needs of students with SEN, ensuring all learners are able to participate and succeed.
- Encourage lifelong habits of active living, resilience, and sportsmanship in an inclusive environment.
- Use creative approaches to PE that balance skill-building, movement enjoyment, and social-emotional growth.
Curriculum Development & Innovation
- Collaborate with the academic team to develop and refine ICT, AI, and PE curricula aligned with DIS’s inclusive education model.
- Incorporate assistive technologies, adaptive software, and AI tools to support differentiated instruction and personalized learning pathways.
- Stay updated on emerging trends, best practices, and research in ICT, AI, and adaptive PE education for students with SEN.
Student Support & Individualized Instruction
- Design and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) to meet specific learning needs.
- Use data, assessments, and observations to track student progress, adapting teaching strategies accordingly.
- Provide targeted interventions for students requiring additional support in ICT, AI, or PE skill development.
Requirements
- Degree in Special Education, ICT Education, Physical Education, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of teaching experience, ideally in an inclusive or special education setting.
- Experience teaching ICT, digital literacy to students with diverse learning needs.
- Experience designing and delivering inclusive PE lessons for students with SEN.
- Familiarity with assistive technologies, adaptive equipment, and AI tools to enhance accessibility and personalized learning.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.
- Passion for innovation, inclusion, and empowering students to achieve their potential.
