Job summary

Highway International Pte Ltd is seeking a Driver (Water/Diesel Truck) to operate water and diesel trucks across multiple sites in Singapore. You will work with an assistant for route planning and navigation. Responsibilities include loading/unloading, daily pre/post trip checks, and logging delivery records.

You will ensure safety, report any incidents promptly, and follow EHS and road regulations. The role may require island-wide shifts, including nights and weekends as needed.

• Valid Singapore Class 4 driving license.

Responsibilities

• Operate water/diesel truck to site locations daily with assistant for navigation and planning of routes.
• Connect and disconnect hoses, pumps and valves to load and unload water and diesel tanks.
• Perform daily inspection checks of vehicles before and after job completed, including truck, tank, valves, tires, lights, oil and fluid levels.
• Report vehicle defects, breakdowns, accidents, incidents, near misses or unsafe conditions to supervisor promptly.
• Follow workplace safety rules for leaks or spills (training provided).
• Comply with road traffic regulations, company safety policies, and Environmental Health & Safety requirements.
• Keep logs of daily driving hours, delivery records and diesel records.
• Keep vehicle cabin and exterior clean; report mechanical problems.

Job description

Driver (Water/Diesel Truck)

• Operate water/diesel truck safety to different site locations each day to top up water and diesel for machineries. (Driver will be equipped with an assistant to help with navigation and planning of daily route)
• Connect and disconnect hoses, pumps and values to load and unload the water & diesel tank,
• Perform daily inspection checks of vehicles before and after job completed. Checks include truck, tank, valves, tires, lights, oil and fluid levels.
• Report vehicle defects, breakdowns, accidents, incidents, near misses or unsafe conditions promptly to supervisor.
• Follow workplace safety rules to proper handle of leaks or spills in the event of liquid spillage. (Training will be provided)
• Comply all road traffic regulations, company safety policies, and Environmental. Health & Safety (EHS) requirements.
• Keep accurate logs of daily driving hours, delivery records and diesel records.
• Keep clean of vehicle cabin and exterior and report any mechanical problems.

Requirements

• Valid Singapore Class 4 driving license
• Minimum 1-2 years experience operating water trucks or heavy vehicles in construction, road maintenance or related industries
• Knowing of Singapore roads well and able to use GPS navigation tools
• Able to work together with the assistant to plan and perform daily tasks efficiently
• Willing to work island-wide on shifts, including nigh shifts, weekends, public holidays or split shifts when required.
• Assist in other site operations and perform any ad hoc duties assigned by the supervisor.
