A leading transport operator in Singapore seeks a Claims Manager to oversee claim processes. The role involves negotiating settlements, supervising a team, and ensuring fair claims handling, requiring strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills. Candidates should possess relevant insurance qualifications and years of experience in claims management.
Primary Objectives
Process and assess claims in accordance with given guidelines
Ensure prompt, fair and reasonable claims settlement
Negotiate settlement of claims within the authority limit
Supervise and coach junior team members
Assist in preparing and analyzing claims and productivity reports
Monitor and track all claims cases and ageing claims
Major Responsibilities
Support Head of Claims for the overall function of the department
Provide guidance to junior claims staff and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Review, investigate and process motor, property and injuries claim
Familiar with Market agreements and claims practices
Requirements
Degree in any discipline
Diploma holder with relevant experience will also be considered
Insurance Qualification:
- BCP, PGI & ComGI certification
Minimum Years of Relevant Experience
Atleast 3 years of motor, property and injuries claims handling experience, preferably in insurance company or transport fleet operator
Logical and analytical in approach to problem solving
Good written and verbal communications skills
Ability to work under pressure and tight timelines
Tenacity of purpose despite setbacks
Leadership qualities with proven ability to guide and motivate staff
