Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of motor, property and injuries claims handling experience.
  • Experience preferably in insurance company or transport fleet operator.

Job description

Primary Objectives

  • Process and assess claims in accordance with given guidelines

  • Ensure prompt, fair and reasonable claims settlement

  • Negotiate settlement of claims within the authority limit

  • Supervise and coach junior team members

  • Assist in preparing and analyzing claims and productivity reports

  • Monitor and track all claims cases and ageing claims

Major Responsibilities

  • Support Head of Claims for the overall function of the department

  • Provide guidance to junior claims staff and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

  • Review, investigate and process motor, property and injuries claim

  • Familiar with Market agreements and claims practices

Requirements

  • Degree in any discipline

  • Diploma holder with relevant experience will also be considered

  • Insurance Qualification:
    - BCP, PGI & ComGI certification

  • Minimum Years of Relevant Experience

  • Atleast 3 years of motor, property and injuries claims handling experience, preferably in insurance company or transport fleet operator

  • Logical and analytical in approach to problem solving

  • Good written and verbal communications skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and tight timelines

  • Tenacity of purpose despite setbacks

  • Leadership qualities with proven ability to guide and motivate staff
