About the Role

As Claims Advocacy Director, you will be at the forefront of managing and resolving complex and contentious claims within Financial Lines (including D&O, E&O, PI, and Financial Institutions risks). Reporting to senior regional leadership, this role allows you to blend legal expertise with strategic advocacy, offering a rewarding mix of technical, advisory, and leadership responsibilities.

Your ability to deliver exceptional claims advocacy will be measured by:

Strategic Claims Management

• Successfully advocate for clients in complex claims, from initial notification to resolution.
• Ensure seamless claims progress by engaging insurers and professional advisers to overcome challenges.

Client Relationship Excellence

• Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across clients, insurers, and reinsurers.
• Provide proactive strategic advice and claims data analysis to inform decision-making and reduce clients' total cost of risk.

Technical Expertise

• Conduct thorough claims reviews and provide actionable insights on loss trends, cost reduction, and coverage issues.
• Innovate solutions for novel or contentious claims, particularly involving complex policy wordings.

Thought Leadership & Collaboration

• Contribute to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and tenders, articulating the value of claims advocacy services.
• Provide training and mentoring to internal teams, driving best practice standards across the claims function.

• A strategic and pragmatic mindset, with a creative approach to resolving claims challenges.
