Job summary

Dover Nursing Home on Dover Road seeks a Civil & Structural Resident Technical Officer to support a major nursing home project. You will assist the Job Manager with on-site technical and design issues while reporting progress and constraints.

You will provide standing supervision to the contractor team, verify drawings for discrepancies, ensure adherence to approved plans and safety standards, attend meetings, inspections, testing and commissioning, and maintain comprehensive site records.

Qualifications

• ITE certificate or Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognised institution.
• Accredited with IES-ACES Joint Accreditation Committee (JAC) with a valid RTO Practising Certificate.
• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Resident Technical Officer.
• Healthcare project experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Job Manager with technical and design issues on site and report to the Job Manager.
• Provide standing supervision as directed by the Consultant team.
• Check construction drawings for discrepancies prior to installation.
• Ensure works follow approved drawings and safety requirements.
• Attend site meetings, inspections, testing and commissioning.
• Maintain meticulous site records.
