Job description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a competent and motivated Civil / Structural Engineer to join our specialist piling and foundation engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, technical supervision, and site coordination of foundation and structural works, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out design and technical reviews for civil and structural works, especially in relation to deep foundation systems such as bored piles, micropiles, and sheet piles.

• Develop and assess technical drawings, structural calculations, method statements, and risk assessments.

• Collaborate closely with geotechnical teams and on-site personnel to ensure designs are implemented safely and accurately.

• Liaise with consultants, clients, relevant authorities, and subcontractors to facilitate efficient project progress.

• Conduct regular site visits to monitor works and propose practical engineering solutions to any technical or ground-related issues.

• Ensure that all activities comply with statutory regulations, safety requirements, and approved specifications.

• Assist in the preparation and submission of documentation to relevant authorities, including BCA and LTA.

• Contribute technical inputs and quantity estimations for tender submissions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in piling or foundation works preferred.

• Proficient in structural analysis and design software such as STAAD, PLAXIS, or SAFE.

• Practical site experience with a strong sense of constructability and design details.

• Effective communicator with strong coordination and problem-solving skills.

• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a project team.
