Job summary

JDA WMS Pte Ltd is seeking a Site Engineer (Civil) to support on-site execution of construction projects, ensuring technical, quality, safety, and contractual compliance.

You will interpret designs, review drawings, coordinate with QAQC, and prepare site reports for stakeholders, while managing variations, cost control, and EMS matters. Candidates should hold a Civil/Building degree and have 3–5 years of experience, with strong communication and the ability to work under pressure on site.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil/Building Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
• 3–5 years' experience in building and construction projects.
• Knowledge of computer operating systems, hardware, and software.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings and provide technical advice to resolve site issues.
• Ensure on-site operations comply with the Project Quality Plan.
• Review project specifications, clarifications, and drawings.
• Coordinate with QAQC to ensure work quality and maintain inspection records.
• Prepare site reports and stakeholder updates.
• Liaise with Consultant Representative, Project Manager, and subcontractors.
• Track contract variations and report cost impact.
• Check working drawings and resolve discrepancies.
• Implement cost control measures to meet budget.
• Support EMS and environmental matters.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, M&E consultants, and vendors.
• Capture lessons learned and implement best practices.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and standards.

We are looking for a Site Engineer (Civil) to support the smooth execution of construction projects, ensuring technical, quality, safety, and contractual compliance on site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret technical designs and drawings; provide technical advice and resolve site issues

• Ensure site operations comply with the Project Quality Plan (quality, environmental, and safety requirements)

• Review project specifications, clarifications, and construction drawings

• Coordinate with QAQC Engineer to ensure work quality meets customer requirements; maintain inspection records

• Prepare site reports and updates for stakeholders

• Liaise with Consultant Representative, Project Manager, and Subcontractors on project and quality matters

• Track contract variations and claims, and report cost impact to the Project Manager

• Check working drawings and resolve discrepancies

• Implement cost control measures to meet project budget

• Support environmental management (EMS) matters

• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, M&E consultants, and vendors to resolve construction/installation issues

• Capture lessons learned and implement best practices for future projects

• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and standards

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil/Building Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field

• 3–5 years' experience in building and construction projects

• Knowledge of computer operating systems, hardware, and software

• Good with numbers; strong attention to detail

• Strong presentation and communication skills

• Able to remain composed under pressure and meet deadlines

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment, including prolonged standing, walking, bending, and kneeling as required on site
