Civil Manager

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Oversee and manage the design and construction of power station civil engineering projects;
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise construction projects to ensure they are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner;
• Manage a team of civil engineers, ensuring that project milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets;
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure seamless project execution;
• Review and analyze the design effectiveness and structural reliability of major projects;
• Approve cost reports, equipment records, engineering reports, and project construction schedules;
• Ensure policies, practices, and procedures are strictly observed;
• Prepare budgets and schedules, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently;
• Monitor work progress and ensure a project is on track and within budget;
• Communicate with clients and stakeholders to provide updates and address concerns, and brief civil engineers on new worksites and projects, ensuring they are well-informed;
• Ensure all engineering activities comply with relevant regulations and standards, and maintain accurate records of project documentation and progress;
• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering their professional growth;
• Work closely with clients, government agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.

Requirements

• Must possess a minimum of 5 years of power station civil construction experience;
• Good education with Bachelor degree or above;
• Familiar with power market and related regulations in Singapore;
• Be able to work under pressure and agree to work overtime;
• Strong presentation skills, written and oral, and strong communication skills;
• Good time management and planning skills;
• Self-motivated, ability to work independently.
