Job summary

Staffhub Group is seeking a Civil Engineer / Site Engineer for on-site supervision at Tuas South. The role involves assisting the Project Manager, planning, scheduling, forecasting, and coordinating technical and managerial tasks while controlling costs and ensuring safety and quality on site.

You will liaise with consultants, main and sub-contractors, suppliers, and authorities to ensure smooth project execution.

Qualifications

• BCA-recognized degree in Civil Engineering.
• Self-motivated and goal oriented candidate.
• Proficient in MS Office; AutoCAD skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager in site supervision and management.
• Plan, schedule, forecast, and coordinate technical and management aspects of projects.
• Control costs of materials and labour.
• Coordinate and check engineering deliverables.
• Attend site meetings and monitor project progress with main and sub-contractors.
• Liaise with consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and authorities for project implementation.
• Manage daily project execution operations.
• Resolve construction problems soundly and effectively.
• Ensure quality control and assurance to meet project objectives.
• Keep project paperwork up to date and compliant.
• Enforce safe work procedures to control risk.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager in site supervision and management
• Responsible for planning, scheduling, forecasting, conducting and coordinating the technical and management aspects of projects
• Controlling the cost of the materials and labour
• Coordination and checking of engineering deliverables
• Attend site meeting, inspection and monitoring of project progress with Main Con and Sub-cons
• Liaising and coordinating with all parties involved in the projects such as consultants, main contractors, sub-contractors, suppliers, local authorities, environmental agencies, and federal entities to ensure successful implementation of the project
• To manage daily operation of the project execution
• Solving construction problems as soundly as possible
• Acting as the quality control and assurance to ensure that the project objectives are met
• To ensure that project paper works are properly kept and up to date
• Ensure safe work procedures are implemented to control risk
• Familiar with relevant legal requirement
• Work on cost estimation and document preparation for tender submission

Requirements

• BCA Recognized Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Self-motivated, and goal orientated candidate
• Required skill(s): MS Office, preferable candidate with AutoCad skills
• 5.5 working days per week
• Project location is at Tuas South (shuttle bus service provided from Joo Koon/Jurong East MRT)
