Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
• Experience or coursework in AutoCAD.
• OSHA training and certification.
• Prior work on geotechnical, waste management or environmental projects.

Responsibilities

• Inspect project sites and monitor progress for safety and design compliance.
• Test materials and soils for strength of foundations.
• Use CAD and drawing tools to plan systems and structures.
• Direct surveying to lay out installations and elevations.
• Determine design specifications by computing grades and loads.
• Manage operations and maintenance at project sites.
• Prepare public reports on deeds, bid proposals, property descriptions and environmental impact statements.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, governmental and safety regulations.
