Job description

A Civil Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, supervising, and maintaining infrastructure projects such as buildings, roads, bridges, and drainage systems.

1. Planning & Design

• Prepare structural drawings and design calculations

• Develop project plans, specifications, and cost estimates

• Review architectural and structural designs

• Ensure compliance with local building codes and safety regulations

2. Site Supervision

• Supervise construction activities on-site

• Ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings

• Monitor daily progress and report to management

• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and consultants

3. Quality Control

• Inspect materials and workmanship

• Conduct site tests (concrete test, soil test, etc.)

• Ensure compliance with project specifications

• Rectify defects and ensure quality standards are met

4. Project Management

• Prepare project schedules and timelines
