Job summary

Rapid Recruitment Asia Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join a major underground infrastructure project in Changi. This role focuses on coordinating design and construction, ensuring safe, practical solutions and timely deliverables.

You will work with design teams, consultants and contractors, review shop drawings and calculations, and support temporary works design while upholding Singapore standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering recognised by Professional Engineers Board Singapore.
• 5+ years of local construction experience in underground or infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of Singapore standards and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate civil design works with construction teams, consultants, client representatives and subcontractors.
• Prepare and review shop drawings for temporary and permanent works.
• Coordinate design submissions and ensure drawings are completed accurately and on time.
• Review design calculations and prepare engineering calculations where required.
• Work closely with site teams to resolve design and construction issues; support temporary works design.
• Identify opportunities to improve constructability and optimise engineering solutions.
• Monitor design progress and highlight potential issues or delays to the Design Manager.
• Coordinate with QP(D), PE and relevant stakeholders for design approvals and endorsements.
• Provide technical support on ad hoc design matters throughout the project.

Role Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering recognised by Professional Engineers Board Singapore
• At least 5 years of relevant local experience in the construction industry
• Experience in underground construction, infrastructure or civil engineering projects is preferred
• Good knowledge of Singapore construction standards and safety requirements
• Proficient in AutoCAD, BIM/Revit and STAAD Pro
• Strong analytical, communication and coordination skills
• Able to work closely with both design and site teams
