Civil and Structural Engineer / Project Engineer

About the role

D Consultancy is seeking a motivated Civil and Structural Engineer to join our team in Singapore. As a Civil and Structural Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of projects, contributing your technical expertise to deliver innovative solutions in today's built environment. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to work on challenging assignments and contribute to the growth of our organisation.

What you'll be doing

1. Conducting structural analyses and design calculations to ensure the safety and integrity of buildings and infrastructure
2. Producing quality engineering reports to document inspection and calculation efforts
3. Developing engineering design sketches via hand and CAD software where appropriate for submission to authorities
4. Carrying out visual inspection and site supervision to assess structural safety and quality of construction work
5. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop detailed design plans and construction documents
6. Overseeing the implementation of projects, providing technical guidance and support to construction teams
7. Identifying and addressing engineering challenges, proposing creative solutions to meet project and client's requirements
8. Staying up-to-date with industry regulations, codes, and best practices to ensure compliance
9. Contributing to the development of technical reports, presentations, and client proposals
10. Assisting with additional duties as requested

What we're looking for

1. Minimum Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, recognised by PE Board (Singapore)
2. Minimum 1-2 years of experience (preferred) in civil and structural engineering
3. Proven track record of strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
4. Proficiency in using engineering software, such as AutoCAD, and structural analysis software
5. Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
6. Familiarity with Singapore and international building codes and regulations (Eurocode)
