Gain City Group is looking for a City Guide who will enhance the customer experience within their showrooms. In this role, you will engage with customers, promote the latest deals, and drive sales through effective upselling and cross-selling strategies. Your expertise in deal management and customer satisfaction will play a critical role in achieving sales targets and ensuring customers have memorable shopping experiences.
Job Description:
Title: City Guide, 丰城导购员 (Internal: Customer Experience Specialist) Reporting: Direct to BD Director; Secondary to Showroom Manager
The City Guide at Gain City is responsible for
1. Understanding and Introduction of Electronics Brands and Products respectively.
2. Oversee, understand and evaluate customer requirements to propose electronics products respectively.
3. Enhancing in-store customer experience by planning and guiding customer
4. Cross-selling products across different departments and showrooms.
5. Driving sales of high priority products and premium brands.
6. Work closely with the Business Development Team to track deal performance, gather feedbacks, and proposal of strategy enhancements.
This role requires deep knowledge of all current promotions, discount mechanics, and brand-specific offers across all product categories. The City Guide actively recommends tailored deals, upsells products, cross sells across outlets, and connects customers with the appropriate Sales Executives when needed. The goal is to increase bundle purchases and high priority product sales through superior deal management and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Promotion & Discount Expertise:
○ Stay fully informed about all Gain City promotions, discount structures, and brand-specific deals across all product categories.
○ Proactively promote the latest deals and offers to customers, offering product bundles, EW, complementary products to increase basket size.
In-store Customer Experience Enhancement:
○ Engage with customers, answer inquiries, and ensure that promotional signage and materials are visible and accurate.
○ Plan customer’s journey by understanding needs and recommending the right products to create memorable shopping experiences.
Premium Upsell & Showroom Cross-sell:
○ Identify opportunities to upsell higher-margin products and cross-sell complementary items based on customer preferences.
○ Recommend products not available in the current showroom, offering options from other Gain City showrooms to ensure customers get the full product range.
Sales Target & Store Performance:
○ Support the store’s sales objectives by driving deal-focused initiatives and maximizing promotional opportunities.
○ Suggest improvements to promotions and discounts based on customer feedback and sales data to optimize future campaigns.
Training & Knowledge Sharing:
○ Stay updated on new product launches and features to offer informed recommendations.
○ Collaborate with the marketing and promotions teams to align in-store deals with broader advertising campaigns.
Qualifications:
● Experience in retail, sales, or deal management, preferably in consumer electronics or home appliances.
● Strong knowledge of promotion mechanics, discount strategies, upselling, and cross-selling techniques.
● Excellent customer service skills with a passion for enhancing customer satisfaction.
● Proven ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and manage multiple customers simultaneously.
● Ability to cross-sell products from other showrooms and coordinate seamless customer solutions.
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
● Able to work retail hours, weekends and Public Holidays
