About us
Compassion Singapore is part of Compassion International, a global network of more than 40 countries. Together with millions of our neighbours - sponsors, supporters and church partners - around the world, we are a Christian child development ministry that seeks to put love in action and release children from poverty in Jesus’ name.

About the role
There is a dual focus for this role; building the awareness of the ministry of Compassion to pastors across Singapore and activating new church partnerships. The role will commence with an established portfolio of church partner relationships, as well as warm leads to be developed.

The successful applicant’s core responsibilities will be to:

  • Identify, activate, and grow new church partnerships in Singapore;
  • Evaluate, identify, and develop new initiatives that will enhance the mission of Compassion and meet the needs of Compassion's church partners;
  • Work closely with other Compassion team members and the wider Compassion organisation;
  • Regularly plan, prepare and lead Compassion presentations at churches in Singapore;
  • Build and strengthen relationships with Compassion’s volunteer presenters;
  • Participate in domestic or international travel with strategic partners to facilitate increased understanding and engagement with Compassion's work, as required.

About you
We are looking for a dynamic partnerships manager to join our experienced Compassion Singapore team. The right candidate will be driven and self-motivated to serve the church and see many new church partnerships opened up in Singapore; resulting in many children sponsored in Jesus' name. This role would suit a passionate and motivated individual with the ability to communicate effectively in churches.

What you will bring to the team

  • Local Philanthropy Expertise - strong understanding of and networks within the local philanthropic fundraising landscape;
  • Global Development Insight - knowledge of global poverty and community development principles;
  • Strategic Stakeholder Engagement - experience in building strategic relationships with key stakeholders, fostering collaboration and long-term engagement;
  • Lead Generation - Skilled in identifying and cultivating strategic partnerships to generate high-quality leads, fostering long-term relationships that drive mutual business growth and enhance market reach;
  • Influential Communication Skills - ability to convey ideas clearly and effectively across diverse audiences, ensuring engagement, understanding, and influence;
  • Presentation Proficiency - strong ability to negotiate favourable outcomes and deliver compelling presentations, effectively engaging and influencing diverse audiences;
  • Data-Driven Decision Making - ability to analyse customer databases to generate insightful reports that inform strategic decision-making and drive business growth;
  • Results-Driven - proven track record of achieving and exceeding targets/goals;
  • Knowledge and networks within the local church context;
  • Ability to speak fluently in English and Mandarin (Highly Desirable).

At the heart of Compassion’s ministry is a relentless passion to act on our faith and empower every child left vulnerable by poverty. Our work is Christ-centred, child-focused, and church-based. The successful candidate will be strongly aligned to the values of this leading Christian not-for-profit organisation.
