Job summary

A leading company in maritime transportation is seeking a Chockfast Technician to perform essential tasks on engines and deck machinery, ensuring a clean and organized work environment. The ideal candidate should possess at least an ITE certificate, be physically fit, and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.

Reporting to: Business Manager – Chockfast

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Carrying out chocking of engines, stern tubes, deck machinery, on a variety of vessels / installations in Singapore and surrounding countries.
• Applying Phillycald 1775/620TS and Devcon applications
• Customer liaison on job sites in various locations
• Interpreting technical drawings and documents to determine repair parts and procedures. Operating and inspecting completed work to ensure repair success.
• Understanding blueprints
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area daily
• Conducting daily machine tool preventive maintenance
• Organizing and storing machining fixtures for future use
• Assisting the Foreman to complete the work scope within the given timeframe and performing self-inspection on finished workpieces
• Managing time and coordinating all aspects of assigned jobs
• Executing tasks with prescribed safety equipment in place, following OSHA rules
• Prioritizing safety and health for oneself and colleagues, adhering to company policies
• Performing any other tasks as assigned by management

Required Qualifications And Skills

Technical / Professional:

• At least ITE certificate or O’ Level
