Job description

A Chinese Restaurant in a Luxury Hotel is looking for a restaurant manager to lead their team!


Responsibilities:

Operations & Service Excellence

  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of restaurant operations (lunch, dinner, and special events)
  • Ensure service excellence in line with the hotel’s brand and guest expectations
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness, ambiance, and service flow

Team Management

  • Lead, train, and motivate the service team, including captains, servers, and hostesses
  • Conduct regular briefings and staff evaluations
  • Foster a culture of hospitality, teamwork, and professionalism

Guest Relations

  • Ensure VIP guests and regular patrons receive personalized service
  • Handle guest feedback professionally and proactively resolve complaints
  • Build guest loyalty through genuine engagement and attention to detail

Menu & Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Executive Chinese Chef to understand menu items, specials, and cultural elements
  • Ensure accurate food knowledge among service team members
  • Support menu development with guest feedback and dining trends

Financial & Administrative

  • Monitor daily revenue and control operational costs
  • Prepare weekly schedules and manage labor resources efficiently
  • Ensure inventory and supplies are maintained (chinaware, uniforms, POS, etc.)
  • Support in budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting

Compliance & Standards

  • Ensure adherence to local health, safety, and hygiene regulations
  • Uphold brand and service standards at all times
  • Maintain excellent grooming and conduct standards among staff

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Michelin Star/Black Pearl Quality Restaurant, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
  • Strong knowledge of Chinese cuisine, etiquette, and service traditions
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and guest service skills
  • Mandarin is the operational language of the restaurant, speaking and writing in the language is mandatory for communication with kitchen and VIP guests
