The role emphasizes developing listening, speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension skills through engaging activities. You will prepare lesson plans, assess progress, communicate with parents, and support classroom and centre operations.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Chinese Language, Chinese Studies, Education or a related field.
• Strong spoken and written Chinese proficiency.
• Basic spoken English proficiency.
• Good understanding of the Singapore MOE Chinese syllabus.
• Patience and strong classroom management skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work weekday afternoons/evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Teach Chinese to preschool and primary students per MOE syllabus.
• Develop listening, speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension skills.
• Use storytelling, games, and interactive activities to engage learners.
• Prepare students for assessments, including PSLE Chinese.
• Adapt lessons to different abilities and needs.
• Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, and teaching materials.
• Mark assignments, provide feedback, and assign homework.
• Monitor progress and identify areas for improvement.
• Communicate with parents on learning progress.
• Maintain classroom discipline and student safety.
• Keep attendance and progress records.
• Participate in staff meetings, curriculum planning, and centre activities.
• Perform other teaching-related and admin duties.

  • Teach Chinese to preschool and primary school students according to the Singapore MOE syllabus.
  
  
  • Develop students' listening, speaking, reading, writing, comprehension and composition skills.
  
  
  • Use engaging teaching methods such as storytelling, games and interactive activities.
  
  
  • Prepare students for school assessments and examinations, including PSLE Chinese.

Job Requirements

Preferred Requirements

• 1-2 years of teaching experience in a school, tuition or enrichment centre.


• Experience teaching preschool or primary school Chinese.


• Familiarity with PSLE Chinese preparation.


• Experience in lesson planning, assessments and parent communication.


• Ability to teach Higher Chinese is an advantage.
