Job Description:

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Chinese Teacher to join our growing team. The successful candidate will teach Chinese language and culture to students of various proficiency levels, helping them develop skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening.

The teacher will create engaging lesson plans, foster an appreciation for the language, and cultivate a supportive classroom environment where students are motivated to achieve their fullest potential. The teacher will also inspire students to appreciate the Chinese language and culture while supporting their overall language development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Chinese language lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum.
• Teach literacy, communication, and conversational skills in Mandarin.
• Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to guide learning.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
• Create an engaging classroom environment that fosters cultural appreciation and language proficiency.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and engage parents in the learning process.
• Support school activities, enrichment programs, and cultural events.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Chinese Language, Linguistics, or related field.
• Recognized teaching qualification/certification (e.g., B.Ed, PGCE, MOE certification, or equivalent).
• Proven experience teaching Mandarin, preferably in an international or multicultural school setting.
• Strong proficiency in Mandarin Chinese (reading, writing, speaking, and listening).
• Good command of English for effective communication with colleagues and parents.
• Passion for teaching and supporting the holistic development of students.

Preferred Qualifications (Added Advantage):

• Native-level proficiency in Mandarin Chinese.
• Ability to converse in additional languages (English, Japanese, French, German, Spanish, etc.).
Experience with international curricula (e.g., Cambridge, IB)
