Job summary

SELF HELP GROUPS STUDENT CARE LIMITED is seeking a motivated Chinese Language Student Care Mentor to join islandwide school-based centres in Singapore. The role focuses on supervising children, delivering Chinese language support, and ensuring safety and well-being in the after-school programme.

You will engage children in English activities, provide spelling and homework help, and work with parents to share progress and concerns.

Qualifications

• GCE O level or higher
• Experience with children in student care or education is advantageous
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work 1pm to 5pm, Mon to Fri
• Patient, empathetic and team-oriented

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage children in activities in English, provide Chinese homework assistance and spelling revision
• Ensure health, safety and well-being of all children in your care
• Communicate with parents/guardians to provide updates and address concerns
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress and incidents
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan age-appropriate activities
• Adhere to policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
