Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education – Teaching (DECCE-T or CECCCE) or Advanced Certificate in Early Years (ACEY) required.
• Experience in Early Childhood is an advantage.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Plan and implement the curriculum under the guidance of the Centre Supervisor to ensure a well-run, purposeful, engaging, and child-centred programme responsive to children’s needs and aligned with the principles outlined in the standard ECE Framework.
2. Create a secure and quality learning environment for children by fostering nurturing, trustful, respectful, and meaningful relationships with them.
3. Actively participate in Centre initiatives to support collaborative efforts with the community.
4. Contribute your talents and professional expertise towards the centre’s initiatives, educational programmes, and projects.
5. Establish good relationships with parents as partners in care and education.
6. Keep abreast of the latest educational developments and continually upgrade your skills and knowledge.
7. Participate in simple action research projects.
8. Role-model professionalism in appearance, speech, and actions.
9. Achieve at least 25 hours of CPD, including courses and other activities, within the calendar year.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education – Teaching (DECCE-T or CECCCE) or Advanced Certificate in Early Years (ACEY)
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
