The Opportunity

In a time of disruption and transformation, the strategy community plays a central role in delivering bold, sustainable solutions for our clients. This role leads and connects a diverse, multi-disciplinary planning community across local, regional and global levels — helping turn insight into impact, and ambition into outcomes.

As Chief Strategy Officer, you’ll be a key member of the APAC leadership team. You’ll guide strategic excellence across markets, elevate thinking, and help define the next chapter of growth for the agency in the region.

Your Role

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and co-ordinate new business efforts at a regional level, and support market pitches where needed
  • Shape and support breakthrough strategies for key clients – directly and through local market teams
  • Partner with teams to localise and operationalise global strategy across the APAC region
  • Inspire and grow local strategic teams through coaching, collaboration, and capability development
  • Bring fresh thinking, innovation, and foresight to client solutions across media, data, commerce, and content
  • Help elevate the agency - and group - industry profile through thought leadership, award recognition, and external engagement
  • Help to define the future growth strategy for the agency across APAC
  • Contribute to the evolution of global strategic product and process
  • Steward and industrialise the brand positioning across the region

What You’ll Bring

You don’t need to have done it all – but you should bring a strong mix of strategic depth, collaborative leadership, and a belief in what modern media can achieve. Specifically:

Strategic Leadership

  • The ability to receive and digest new business briefs, translate into a strategic narrative and approach and co-ordinate local markets, and supporting teams, in its delivery
  • A proven ability to design and deliver strategies that connect data, creativity, and media to real-world impact
  • Experience shaping narratives for major new business pitches or client transformation initiatives
  • The ability to influence senior stakeholders across global, regional, and local levels
  • Confidence working across a full ecosystem of services, from media planning to performance, commerce, and content – delivered through digital, data, and technology
  • A mindset of continuous improvement — in the work, the tools, and the talent
  • A track record of raising the quality of strategic thinking across teams and markets

Client Engagement

  • Trusted advisor status with senior clients, able to manage and grow key relationships
  • An instinct for understanding complex client organisations and tailoring strategy to real business needs
  • Demonstrated ability to elevate client satisfaction through strategic clarity and delivery

Creativity & Innovation

  • Thought leadership in how media connects to culture, creativity, and commerce
  • Curiosity and foresight around emerging trends, technologies, and behaviours
  • The ability to inspire others to explore, invent and take calculated risks in pursuit of better
