ALPHA X TECHNOLOGY PTE. LTD. is seeking a highly execution‑oriented Chief Product & Technology Officer to lead the development and productisation of its industrial software capabilities.

The role focuses on turning broad business ideas into commercially deployable products and guiding the team through architecture, roadmap, and R&D execution. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Software Engineering or related field.
• ≥12 years in tech leadership, product or R&D.
• Experience turning business vision into architecture and roadmaps.
• Experience building/scaling enterprise industrial software.
• Experience turning bespoke projects into reusable products.
• Strong understanding of architecture, integrations, APIs, data platforms and cybersecurity.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary product and engineering teams.
• Understanding of manufacturing operations, MES and industrial automation.

Responsibilities

• Translate the CEO’s vision into technology architecture, product roadmap and phased delivery plan.
• Define core platform capabilities including connectivity, data models, APIs, workflow, security and deployment.
• Identify first viable products and use cases to develop on the platform.
• Lead transition from customised projects to reusable, configurable software products.
• Establish boundaries between standard platform capabilities, configurable modules and bespoke development.
• Lead product, software development and R&D teams with accountability for scope, timeline, quality, testing and release readiness.
• Strengthen engineering practices across architecture, software design, DevOps, CI/CD, QA and debt management.
• Work with CEO, Sales, Delivery and customers to align development with commercial demand.
• Evaluate build/buy/partnership decisions and manage product/technology investments.
• Ensure platform is secure, reliable, interoperable for industrial environments.

Job description

Alpha X is seeking an execution-oriented Chief Product & Technology Officer to lead the development and productisation of its industrial software capabilities.

The Company is evolving from delivering customised manufacturing software and automation projects towards building a scalable industrial data and operations platform. The platform will connect manufacturing equipment, automation systems, MES, ERP and other enterprise applications, allowing customers to deploy different operational applications and use cases on a common technology foundation.

Reporting to the CEO, the CPTO will translate this strategic vision into a practical platform architecture, product roadmap and R&D execution plan. This is not primarily an innovation or conceptual strategy role. The successful candidate must be able to turn broad business ideas into commercially deployable products and lead the technical team through development, implementation and scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate the CEO’s vision into a clear technology architecture, product roadmap and phased delivery plan.
• Define the core platform capabilities, including industrial connectivity, data integration, data models, APIs, workflow, security and deployment architecture.
• Identify the first commercially viable products and use cases to be developed on the platform.
• Lead the transition from customised project delivery towards reusable, configurable and scalable software products.
• Establish clear boundaries between standard platform capabilities, configurable modules and customer-specific development.
• Lead the product, software development and R&D teams, with accountability for scope, timeline, quality, testing and release readiness.
• Strengthen engineering practices across architecture, software design, DevOps, CI/CD, quality assurance, documentation and technical debt management.
• Work closely with the CEO, Sales, Delivery and customers to align product development with commercial demand and implementation realities.
• Evaluate build, buy and partnership decisions and manage product and technology investments with clear accountability for outcomes.
• Ensure the platform is secure, reliable, interoperable and suitable for industrial and mission-critical customer environments.
• The Company may assign other responsibilities that are reasonably related to the scope and seniority of the position.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 12 years of relevant experience, including senior leadership responsibility in technology, software engineering, product or R&D.
• Proven experience translating a business vision into technology architecture, product roadmap and successful delivery.
• Experience building or scaling enterprise, industrial, manufacturing or data-platform software.
• Experience converting customised or project-based solutions into reusable and configurable products.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, systems integration, APIs, data platforms, cybersecurity and modern engineering practices.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary product and engineering teams.
• Good understanding of manufacturing operations, MES, industrial automation or related technology environments.
• Strong commercial judgement and the ability to balance customer needs, technical feasibility, scalability and return on investment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience developing industrial data or operations platforms.
• Experience integrating manufacturing equipment, MES, ERP and automation systems.
• Experience across cloud, edge and on-premise deployments.
• Experience transforming a services-led or project-based business into a product-led model.
• Semiconductor manufacturing experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
