Job summary

MuseArts, Inc. in Singapore is seeking a senior leader to manage the Dance and Performing Arts department. The role requires deep technical knowledge of preschool pedagogy and extensive Performing Arts experience.

You will oversee curriculum development, instructor training, and the MuseKids program, while coordinating yearly productions and high-profile events. You will work with Chief Curriculum Officer and instructors to maintain high standards, liaise for open houses and marketing

Qualifications

• Management level position requiring significant technical knowledge in preschool industry and strong Performing Arts experience.
• Experience in Dance and Music & Movement classes in childcare, private groups or 1-to-1.
• Able to lead department with Muse Arts methodology and maintain quality.
• Write age-appropriate curriculum.
• Work with Assistant Chief Instructors to create MuseKids curriculum.
• Train instructors and provide targeted solutions to difficulties.
• Manage instructors' schedules and ensure classes run or are replaced.
• Uphold class and program quality; review instructors and conduct tests.
• Schedule yearly production and Year End Concert.
• Respond to situations with minimal delay.
• Assist Chief Curriculum Officer.
• Attend open houses, publicity and marketing events to promote programs.
• Represent Muse Arts as spokesperson; promote growth.
• Conduct teachers' workshops for corporate clients.
• At least 8 years in respective Performing Arts scene.
• Able to choreograph and direct productions.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and manage yearly production and Year End Concert.
• Represent Muse Arts at open houses, publicity and marketing events.
• Choreograph and direct productions for performances.
• Provide 1-to-1 guidance and coaching to instructors.
• Coordinate training sessions and workshops for staff and partners.
• Ensure smooth operation of classes by managing substitutes when needed.

Job description

Job Requirements:

PLEASE note that this position is management level and require significant technical knowledge in preschool industry and strong experience or technical knowledge in respective Performing Arts form.

• Competent in conducting all type of Dance and Music & Movement classes in Childcare, Private group or 1-to-1 setting
• Competent in heading and maintaining a strong Dance / Theatre department with Muse Arts methodology
• Able to work under pressure dealing with deadlines of curriculum writing, effective problem solving and last minute changes, such as standing in for classes if necessary
• Writing of curriculum with age appropriate activities
• Work with Assistant Chief Instructors to create a holistic curriculum for MuseKids
• Training of instructors and providing assistance to instructors that are having difficulty conducting their classes by providing accurate and targeted solutions to the specific situation.
• Managing Childcare instructors' schedule and ensuring that all classes are executed or replaced without interruption.
• To uphold the quality of classes, instructors and Muse Arts program by reviewing their childcare classes, conducting test for instructors and necessary 1 to 1 guidance if necessary
• To schedule for yearly production and Childcare Year End Concert schedule
• To respond to situations when they arise with minimal delay
• To assist Chief Curriculum Officer
• To be available for open house, publicity events and marketing events to promote and sell program.
• Able to represent and be the spokesperson for Muse Arts, with the goal of bringing Muse Arts to greater heights in-line with directors' vision and direction
• To conduct Teachers' workshop for corporate clients
• At least 8 years of experience in respective Perfoming Arts scene.
• Able to choreograph and direct productions

Intensive Training will be provided and candidates will have to go through tests and reviews before being confirmed as a Main Instructor.
