Position Overview
Deutsche Bank’s CFO – Singapore function focuses on reporting the financial position for legal entities in Singapore and acts as the primary interface for host regulatory bodies and country management.
Deutsche Bank’s CFO – ASEAN countries, function focuses on overseeing the Head of Finance/CFOs of the respective countries who is responsible for reporting the financial position for legal entities in their locations and acts as the primary interface for host regulatory bodies and country management.
The position holder is accountable for overseeing the control environment for legal entities within the remit, including the resolution of internal/external audit findings within the respective country, as well as for all matters regarding the organization of the Unit. This includes oversight of the following responsibilities:
Strategy:
- Implements global/regional strategies (including acquisitions, divestments, realignments, and material outsourcings) according to location requirements and country-specific needs.
- Assesses opportunities to maximize/optimize profitability within entities to support Group growth strategy.
- Establishes Legal Entities.
- Provides insight from a local perspective into the development of global policies.
- Assesses and guides on the impact of new activities' financial and regulatory requirements.
Reporting:
- Ensures Financial Regulatory and Group Finance information is reported for legal entities in the country.
- Ensures that accurate and timely financial information is provided to Deutsche Bank's internal and external stakeholders.
- Manages engagement with TDI to ensure reporting platform stability and appropriate incident management.
Steering & Control:
- Oversees the Control Environment for legal entities, including the resolution of internal/external audit findings.
- Coordinates the identification of accounting and financial risks for Business areas and Legal Entities, including SOX and MRP.
Business Operations:
- Performs financial planning and analysis of business operations.
- Coordinates the adoption of a consistent firm-wide approach within the respective area of responsibility.
People & Performance Management:
- Supports the year-end compensation process, including retention, promotion, and performance management for Finance employees.
- Performs target setting, performance evaluation, talent ratings, and career progression for Finance employees.
Advice & Collaboration:
- Interfaces with businesses, country management, regulatory bodies, and external auditors, including providing financial information for these legal entities.
Your skills and experience:
- 20+ years of experience in the finance industry with a strong understanding of financial products & banking systems and good knowledge of accounting and reporting requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Inquisitive mindset to challenge the status quo and drive process improvements and innovative solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills in influencing senior stakeholders across functions and managing teams across multiple countries and cultures.
- A degree in accounting/finance or its equivalent is preferred.
