A well-established SGX-listed company in the construction and property development sector is seeking a Head of Finance. This senior leadership role involves managing financial operations, ensuring SGX compliance, and overseeing consolidated financial statements. Candidates should have at least 12 years of finance experience, including 5 years in a senior role, and possess fluency in Mandarin for communication with stakeholders.
We are seeking a highly experienced and driven finance leader to take on the role of Head of Finance for a well-established SGX-listed company in the construction and property development sector. This is a senior leadership position with full responsibility for group-level finance and regulatory functions, reporting directly to the Finance Director.
The ideal candidate must bring deep technical knowledge, strong regulatory familiarity, and hands-on experience with SGX compliance. This role requires fluency in Mandarin due to business communication needs with Chinese-speaking stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the full spectrum of financial operations, including financial reporting, group consolidation, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and tax.
Ensure compliance with SGX listing rules, SFRS, and regulatory requirements, including the preparation of SGX announcement packs.
Oversee the timely and accurate preparation of consolidated financial statements for group entities.
Implement and maintain strong internal controls, risk management policies, and governance frameworks.
Partner with senior leadership and business units to support strategic planning, investment evaluation, and operational decision-making.
Liaise directly with external auditors, corporate secretaries, regulators, and banks on audit, disclosure, and compliance matters.
Requirements
Degree in Accounting or Finance with CPA/CA qualification.
Minimum 12 years of relevant finance experience, including at least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role within a public listed company.
Solid technical expertise in SGX reporting, SFRS, group consolidation, and compliance with listing rules.
Fluent in Mandarin (spoken and written) to manage cross-border stakeholder communications.
Strong leadership, critical thinking, and stakeholder management skills.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to operate independently with minimal supervision.
