Job description

Company Overview

A well-established and reputable company listed on the Singapore Exchange is looking for a Chief Financial Officer. The candidate must be passionate about developing oneself professionally and must be familiar with the SGX Listing Rules.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Oversee the full spectrum of accounting and finance functions, including financial and management reporting, treasury, compliance, taxation, budgeting, and forecasting.
  2. Work closely with the Chairman and CEO, providing reporting and advisory support on the Group’s financial performance.
  3. Manage audit, tax, and corporate secretarial matters across all Group companies.
  4. Ensure timely compliance with statutory, SGX, accounting, tax reporting, and disclosure requirements.
  5. Oversee the treasury function, including cash flow management, treasury operations, and investment activities.
  6. Provide tax planning advice and lead all tax-related matters for the Group.
  7. Advise on financial system enhancements and recommend improvements.
  8. Review internal controls and suggest process enhancements to strengthen governance.
  9. Collaborate with senior management on corporate transactions, such as acquisitions and divestments.
  10. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance professionals.
  11. Undertake ad-hoc duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or other professional accounting qualifications.
  2. Professional certification such as Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is required.
  3. Minimum 15 years of experience in a broad range of finance and accounting activities within a large organization with overseas subsidiaries.
  4. Proven track record in senior finance leadership roles, such as Financial Controller or Finance Director.
  5. Experience with SGX-listed companies is preferred.
  6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders.
  7. Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive strategic initiatives.
  8. High energy, resilience, and a strong drive for success, pushing self and others to deliver exceptional results.
  9. Positive attitude with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
