Job description
Overview

We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Chief Financial Officer to join our leadership team.

The ideal candidate will have first-hand experience navigating SPAC structures, PIPE transactions, and U.S. GAAP reporting, and will take ownership of leading the company’s NASDAQ listing, managing all aspects from financial and operational readiness through regulatory compliance. Combined with the ability to lead financing, M&A, and strategic partnerships across China and US. In addition, this role requires business proficiency in Mandarin to effectively engage with our internal manufacturing teams and join-venture collaborators in China.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the CEO and Board to set corporate direction and support decision-making with clear financial insights.
  • Lead long-term planning and capital allocation strategies to balance growth and risk.
  • Oversee finance, treasury, tax, FP&A, and risk management functions across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Ensure compliance with both local and international accounting standards (PRC GAAP, IFRS, US GAAP) and listing requirements.
  • Build robust reporting and internal control systems to support business expansion.
  • Drive M&A execution end-to-end: due diligence, valuation, deal negotiation, and post-merger integration.
  • Manage investor relations, ensuring transparent communication with shareholders, analysts, and regulators.
  • Bring familiarity with US financial markets and transaction structures (SPACs, IPOs, PIPEs, follow-on offerings).
  • Support business development initiatives, including joint ventures, partnerships, and global expansion.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with banks, PE/VC firms, regulators, and government agencies.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing finance team capable of supporting a multinational, fast-growing business.
Qualifications
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in finance, investment banking, private equity, or multinational corporations.
  • Track record of managing multi-billion RMB/AUM funds and cross-border transactions.
  • Familiarity with U.S. capital markets, SEC compliance, and investor communication practices is a must.
  • Proven experience in leading companies through NASDAQ IPO/SPAC processes or similar large-scale public listings.
  • Strong sector knowledge in automotive, new energy, technology, or data-driven industries is a plus.
  • Master’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; from a top-tier institution is strongly preferred.
  • Business proficiency in Mandarin is highly valued for communicating with major factories and partners in China.
  • Excellent command of financial and investment terminology, with the ability to communicate effectively with global investors, analysts, and boards.
