About the Company

FP Global is exclusively mandated to supporting a rapidly growing fintech company specializing in payments and financial solutions for their corporate clients. This is an exciting opportunity for C-Suite individuals to support our client who is expanding into the APAC region via Singapore. We are seeking a dynamic Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead our client's Singapore business from the ground up.

Role Overview

The Chief Executive Officer for Singapore will be responsible for establishing, scaling, and managing the operations in the region. The ideal candidate must demonstrate exceptional leadership, deep regulatory understanding and experience (especially in obtaining the MPI licence from MAS), and a proven ability to grow profitable fintech businesses in dynamic markets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Regulatory Licensing & Compliance

  • Lead the successful application and approval process for the Major Payment Institution (MPI) licence with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).
  • Build and oversee a robust compliance framework that meets local regulatory standards.
  • Serve as the key liaison with MAS and other relevant authorities in Singapore.

2. P&L Ownership

  • Take full ownership of the Profit & Loss (P&L) for the Singapore entity.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to drive profitability and sustainable growth.
  • Report regularly to the board and global leadership on financial performance, risks, and opportunities.

3. Strategic Business Leadership

  • Define and execute the market entry strategy for Singapore, aligning with broader APAC expansion goals.
  • Identify key opportunities for product development, strategic partnerships, and market penetration.
  • Collaborate with global teams to ensure product-market fit and operational alignment.

4. Operational Management

  • Establish and scale local teams including sales, compliance, operations, and finance.
  • Set up efficient business processes, risk management policies, and reporting structures.
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on innovation, accountability, and growth.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 15+ years of leadership experience in fintech, payments, or financial services.
  • Proven track record of building and managing licensed entities in Singapore or other regulated APAC markets.
  • Strong familiarity with MAS licensing requirements, particularly the MPI framework.
  • Experience owning a P&L and driving strategic growth in new or emerging markets.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on leadership style and a bias for execution.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience working with regulators, investors, and global leadership.
