Job summary

JGC Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. seeks a senior Lead Electrical Engineer to coordinate electrical deliverables on large EPC projects in Singapore.

You will drive design integrity, vendor evaluations, and tender package creation, ensuring compliance with client specs and industry standards. The role requires extensive leadership experience on multidisciplinary projects, strong technical acumen in power and high-voltage systems, and the ability to guide teams to successful handover with complete O&M

Qualifications

• 15+ years of electrical engineering experience in EPC projects.
• Experience as Lead Electrical Engineer, Engineering Manager, or Department Head.
• Strong skills in specification prep, design review, and tender package development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate all electrical engineering deliverables per the Design Checklist, standards, schedule, and client specs.
• Prepare and review electrical tender packages including specs, SOWs, diagrams, drawings, and bid criteria.
• Review vendor/subcontractor submissions for compliance with project specs and client requirements.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices, regulations, and standards for technical excellence.
• Support pre-award activities with cost estimates, technical evaluations, tender docs, and scope definitions.
• Compile and validate O&M documentation for project handover.

Job description

Job Descriptions:

• Develop and coordinate all electrical engineering deliverables in accordance with the project Design Checklist, quality standards, schedule requirements, and client specifications.
• Prepare and review electrical tender packages, including technical specifications, scope of work documents, single-line diagrams, drawings, and bid evaluation criteria.
• Review and evaluate vendor and subcontractor technical submissions to ensure compliance with project specifications, applicable standards, and client requirements.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices, emerging technologies, regulatory requirements, and engineering standards to ensure technical excellence and project compliance.
• Support pre-award activities by preparing cost estimates, technical evaluations, tender documentation, and electrical work scope definitions.
• Compile, review, and validate Operation and Maintenance (O&M) documentation, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance with project handover requirements.

Requirements:

• Minimum 15+ years of electrical engineering experience in EPC projects within industrial, infrastructure, energy, semiconductor, petrochemical, oil & gas, LNG, or power sectors.
• Demonstrated experience serving as Lead Electrical Engineer, Engineering Manager, or Department Head on large multidisciplinary projects
• Strong knowledge of electrical system design, technical specification preparation, equipment evaluation, vendor document review, and tender package development.
• Ability to provide technical guidance and ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
• Experience in power transmission systems, high-voltage electrical infrastructure, offshore renewables, or subsea cable systems is highly desirable.
